Temu Tamu

18 September - 2 October 2025

Paris, France

ara contemporary is delighted to be part of Temu Tamu, an Indonesian artists' group exhibition in Paris curated by Tiffany Tang presented as part of art saloon ep.3.

In Bahasa, 'temu' means “to meet” and 'tamu' means “guest” or “visitor.” Bringing together works by eight Indonesian artists-including video, sculpture, painting, and works on paper, 'Temu Tamu' offers Paris audiences an encounter with voices deeply rooted in local culture and tradition. Through their processes and visual languages, these artists propose alternative perspectives to dominant Western discourses, with the body and embodiment emerging as shared grounds across generations.
